@tanveersandhu is a student of journalism, social media and film. On his recent visit to India, the news about an "anti-national" student union president being arrested and apparently beaten was making the headlines. Within a few days, Kanhaiya Kumar, someone not a single person outside of perhaps the JNU campus had heard of was all over primetime television. Arnab, Rajdeep, Barkha and the list of primetime television news anchors who spent their prime time talking about Kanhaiya goes on. The decision for Tanveer to meet Kanhaiya was made when be heard him say that he was "born to a farmer and a soldier's brother" while talking to Barkha Dutt for NDTV.
In a first person account Tanveer visits JNU and speaks with #kanhaiyakumar about his fight for freedom in his own country.
