In this video, I show how to set up an aggregate device that allows multitrack recording from an interface and Line 6 Helix simultaneously. This will essentially make one big audio device that can record a ton of channels at the same time, perfect for getting all of the audio devices in your room working in the same environment. This is not limited to the devices I use either, this can be done with any combination of interfaces, helixes, or anything else that has interface capabilities.
In addition to the input configuration, I show two different ways to set your output device. The first is using the aggregate device as your output, this will add all the outputs consecutively. In other words, my SSL is assigned to outputs 1-8 and then the helix is added after at 9-16. This will allow you to use the outputs independently, perfect for having multiple, separate headphone mixes. The other option is to use a multi-output device which will take your main stereo output (1&2) and send that to all your devices. This is what I use personally because it's either just me in my room or people who want to share the same mix. I also have the multi-output device sending audio to OBS for my screen capture, let me know if this topic specifically interests you.
Let me know in the comments if you were able to set this up, if you had any issues, or if you have questions about the set up. Thanks for watching and I hope the video was helpful!
