Allan Savory discusses the building of herder houses at the Africa Center for Holistic Management (ACHM) in Zimbabwe, made possible by the Buckminster Fuller Challenge Award that he and the ACHM were the 2010 recipients of. The Center reverses desertification in Africa through holistic land and livestock management. Herders are essential to this work and many never had houses with electricity and running water.
