I have been using the XVIVE U2 wireless system for some years now. I have heard opinions that not using a guitar lead can lead to some drop out in volume or even frequency range. I decided to put this to a test. This video is the outcome of that.
In order to conduct my test, I recorded 2 tracks, one using a clean tone and the other one using a distorted tone. Each track I have recorded twice, using a guitar lead and the wireless system. I then mixed all tracks with the same settings.
In the video I present each track as part of a full mix as well as the guitar tone on its own.
The music used in the background when I speak is my own song called 'Ride To Buxton'. All rights reserved.
The tracks used for comparison have been written, performed, recorded and mixed by me. All rights reserved.
What is your opinion? Do you think that the tone is altered depending on wether the signal goes though a cable or the wireless system? Let me know in the comments below?
Happy watching!
