Blocked fallopian tubes are a very common problem and they are seen in a lot of infertile patients. The causes of these are many and we can easily diagnose these blocks. However whether they can be released apart from surgery is a question that needs to be answered. There are several methods that are available supposedly such as acupressure or acupuncture medication or even certain herbal remedies. However these are not fool proof. As far as infertility specialists are concerned most of us advice a surgery or if the block cannot be removed we will advice an IVF which may be more cost effective. The only form of blocked fallopian tubes which can be opened are those functional blocks. Those are blocks in which the musculature of the tube undergoes spasm when subjected to some kind of stress and thereby when we are injecting a dye they can appear to be blocked. However on laparoscopy or even if we give a muscle relaxant and repeat the tests a couple of days later these tubes seems to be open. So these are the only kinds of blocks which we can possibly open without a surgery.
