After the pandemic hit, Statewide Independent Wholesalers switched gears fast to support their customers. As a grocery wholesaler, they hold and deliver goods for 2 out of the 3 major supermarkets in Tasmania, Australia: Woolworths, Dan Murphys, and IGA. Statewide Independent Wholesaler had to move quickly to keep customers and employees safe — while ensuring thousands had reliable access to groceries.

Part of this involved extensive quality and safety based inspections. But Statewide Independent Wholesalers understood cultural change was a huge part of this too. They wanted to do more, and involve workers from the ground up. So, they introduced Behavioural Observation checks, where working teams would be able to engage and acknowledge the good work they were doing and level up as a whole.
