Sonicware Liven Lofi-12 used to make something that's a tad hard to classify. Some patterns are more in the East Coast/Boom Bap style and other sections are firmly in a Reggae/Dub area so I guess we'll call this East meets South. I don't even know if "Dub Hop" is a thing but in the interest of needing a thumbnail I went with that.
Samples were gathered from a variety of sources including Samplefocus.com (I just grab them straight from my phone's browser) as well as my Yamaha Reface CP and my Teenage Engineering OP-Z. This is also my first time using a stock sample from the Liven. It's the drone you hear as part of pattern 9.
I really like this sampler but 4 tracks can get limiting so I focused on using every tool I could including numerous pattern slots, lots of parameter locking, sample "flips" on the same tracks, varying pattern lengths and a bit of "live" muting during the recording. I think it's my best LF-12 track to date. I hope you like it.
If you'd like to support me in other ways, maybe buy one of my records on Bandcamp. If you'll notice I don't monetize my channel and I don't use patreon (nothing wrong with those options) but if you buy some music, it does help the channel out and you get something, too! :)
