This is a Motormouth couple car reaview of the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid compact sedan. This Hyundai Elantra hybrid has a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine with a 6-speed dual clutch transmission, a combined 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque, FWD only.
What’s new for 2024? The Hyundai Elantra hybrid gets a new front and rear design with LED taillights across the body, new wheel designs, a new flat stainless steel Hyundai emblem and more customer friendly safety and technology features like new rear side airbags, rear seat belt reminder and steering wheel haptic feedback added to lane keep assist, blind spot collision warning and rear-cross traffic alert. Updates to the interior include a redesigned wireless charging pad, new soft touch front door panels, new leatherette seat surfaces and new colour choices.
The Hyundai Elantra hybrid has a striking look with sharp angles, a unique three-dimensional presence along the side and a dark chrome bold front grille. It comes standard with LED headlights, LED taillights, 17” wheels and a tire repair kit.
There is just one Hyundai Elantra hybrid trim in Canada and it comes with a 10.25” digital driver display, 10.25” touchscreen with navigation, wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, heated manual front seats, heated steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, wireless charger, Bose sound system, sunroof and a hands-free automatic trunk.
In the US, some of these features are not standard, as there are two Hyundai Elantra hybrid trims available.
In Canada, the Hyundai Elantra hybrid is $32,998 CAD. In the US, the Hyundai Elantra hybrid starts at $24,800 USD and the Limited is $29,400 USD.
