This week, I'm making a cake that was the #1 most requested cake last week, and also a cake I really wanted to have in my book Layer Up. I've been thinking about making this cake for a long time!
It's essentially a deconstruction of the popular dessert tiramisu, that's a delicious combination of mascarpone, lady fingers and cocoa powder. I'll also teach you how to make the tiramisu filling, which is the most popular use of mascarpone dessert.
I've tried a different techniques to decorate this cake including a simple way that you can decorate your cake if you are using multiple colors of buttercream, in this case my rich buttercream, chocolate buttercream and coffee buttercream. Enjoy, and don't forget to let me know what you think!
