"We feel that the government should have taken more measures to have, at least, released the children (from the theatre on Dubrovka), because the dosage of the gas that was used was intended for strong, physically fit rebels. But it also reached the children. They had no chance of survival. It is a miracle that not all the children died. The government needed to have used all means of negotiation, and since they used gas, then 800 doctors should have been attending the 800 people that were sitting in the theatre."

"Most of the (Russian) court hearings are not attended by the court officials, because the verdict is a foregone conclusion. That is why the Russian legal system is a nightmare; there is no independence and we shouldn't even be talking about impartiality. That is why we have been battling throughout this year for so long and without any results."
