This was the first day on a new permission on the first field I chose to go on. The field was generally very quiet with the odd Victorian coin here and there. Following the advise of the farmer who told me that there’s an old pathway going through the field I thought I’d head in that direction…to note the pathway was not recorded on any old OS maps I could see. Anyways, first signal on the path I hit 2 denarius stuck together. This being my first roman find I thought I’d grid the area which put me in a spot where a total of 23 silver denarius came up, enjoy and please excuse my potty mouth!
