This is something I missed often while working on the mini lathe: a carriage stop. This little device makes it a lot easier when turning to a shoulder or to a defined point on the part.
I designed this carriage stop with an adjustable spindle with a graduated adjustment knob. One turn of the adjustment knob results in 2mm of travel of the spindle. With this it's possible to adjust the stop very precisely. To hold the spindle firmly in position, I made a little clamping block on the front which gets clamped with a little red adjustable clamping lever.
