Superstar Pride stopped by GENIUS to discuss his viral hit “Painting Pictures." It's an autobiographical song that is, among other things, a message to his mother. "And mama, don't worry," he raps. "You raised a gangster. I'm a survivor."
The Stunna Made and GlobalKnockz-produced song samples Faith Evans' classic R&B record “As Soon As I Get Home.” It appeared on Pride's 2022 EP, "5LBS OF PRESSURE," and it has gone viral across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms since.
On today's episode of VERIFIED, Superstar Pride explains how the song was created at 2 A.M. while the night was still young. He also details the experiences that inspired the track's lyrics and the reason behind his stage name.
