🚨 Why you SHOULDN'T rent a car from Dollar Thrifty at Orlando International Airport MCO
20th MARCH 2023 - 6th APRIL 2023 TRIP
The very 1st vlog in this all new vlog series from our very recent trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida! We fly with Virgin from London Heathrow Terminal 3 LHR to Orlando International Airport Terminal A MCO.
We hired a car through Dollar/Thrifty, the whole experience is in this vlog... it wasn't smooth sailing!
Then then drive to Disney World and get checked in to Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Guest Room and explore the hotel's lobby, shopping, restaurants and quick service, before a good nights sleep.
Then we're up and out for MAGIC KINGDOM! We drive to the transportation and ticket c enter (TTC) and get the ferryboat across Seven Seas Lagoon to the magic of Magic Kingdom!
We went for 15 nights, we stayed on Disney property in Disney Resort Hotels:
We started with 5 nights at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside in a Royal Guest Room with River View
Then moved to Disney's Pop Century Resort into a Preferred Location ground floor / first floor room for another 5 nights
before finishing at the 1 and only Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for our last 5 nights!
We had the MOST incredible trip, we ate in some amazing restaurants including Kona Cafe, Tambu Lounge, The Boathouse, City Works, Woody's Round-up Rodeo BBQ, Topolino's Terrace Character Breakfast, Oga's Cantina....
We had Dole Whip, Funnel Cake, Ronto Wraps, Ronto Roasters, Ohana Noodles, Pineapple Bread Pudding...
We spent a lot of time in Magic Kingdom, where our vlog series starts, we spent 2 days at Animal Kingdom, 3 days at Hollywood Studios and 3 days at EPCOT!
We have a very strange but awesome encounter with Kylo Ren at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! We of course meet the one and only Mickey Mouse on numerous occasions too.
We are there for the 50th anniversary celebrations and we are there when the park begins to change to the Disney 100 celebration! We get to see Disney's Enchantment fireworks and I spent the MOST AMAZING solo night in Magic Kingdom for the return of Happily Ever After fireworks.
We will be watching Harmonious at EPCOT and Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios too!
And we'll be riding TRON at Magic Kingdom YESSSSS!!!!!
We'll be using all the Disney Transport from: Monorail, boat, ferryboat, resort launches, car hire, skyliner.....
Later on the in the series you'll also see what can only be described as a EPIC disaster at Woody's Round-up Rodeo BBQ at Disney's Hollywood Studio's where I end up with a bleeding leg at lunch.... so stay tuned for that.
DAS - this is the first time we'll be using Walt Disney Worlds Disability Access Service (DAS). Carl & Henry both have heart conditions and have to take medication daily so we qualified to use it. We set it up at home before we arrived over zoom and the Cast Members helped us pick 2 advanced ride selections per day of our trip, combing that with adding rides whilst you're in the park, you'll hear us talk about the DAS and how we found it throughout the series. There will also be a DAS vlog towards the end of the series.
All prices correct as of Easter 2023.
We upload a new video at least every week, plus shorts, of all our travels!
