The Magi were the fabled priestly caste of ancient Iran and Mesopotamia that are mentioned in the Bible and renowned as skilled practitioners of astronomy, astrology, alchemy, and other forms of esoteric knowledge. In Morals and Dogma, Pike states Oriental (Aryan) Kabbalah of the Magi predates and was later adopted into Jewish mysticism. Originating during the time of Atlantis, it was disseminated during the 6th century BC into Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Alchemy, Sufi sects, and Mystery School religions.
