Coronavirus Update: Placer County health officials provide a briefing on Rocklin resident's death from COVID-19

Dr. Aimee Sisson, Placer County's health officer, the CDC provides details on the death of a Rocklin resident who died after contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19) Wednesday and outlined efforts to contain the virus.

The deceased was an elderly adult with underlying health conditions, according to Dr. Aimee Sissoon Placer County Health Officer. Sisson said the individual began showing symptoms on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, while onboard a cruise traveling between San Francisco and Mexico. They returned to San Francisco Feb. 21 and then called 911 on Feb. 27, the same day they were admitted to Kaiser Permanente Roseville.
