I'm a 55-year-old woman with diabetes. I control my blood sugars pretty well. I'm obese and I'm menopausal, and I've been losing my hair. My hair's getting thinner at the top of my head. My hair under my arms and my legs has thinned out and the hair on my toes has disappeared. I have another friend who has diabetes and she said her doctor warned her that if she loses hair on her toes, that's a sign of peripheral neuropathy. Am I in danger of peripheral neuropathy or is that something associated with menopause because my doctor told me it's just menopause?
