Bring your natural timber back to life using your very own custom finish. Feast Watson Liming White will help create a bright, airy effect and a feeling of sophistication while protecting your timber all at once. Mix it with Feast Watson Clear Varnish to protect and enhance the natural grain of timber. The addition of Feast Watson’s Prooftint allows the full clarity of the timber grain to shine through, transforming your interior space and available in a range of colours. Here’s what you’ll need:

- Feast Watson Prooftint (we’re using Black)

- Feast Watson Liming White

- Feast Watson Clear Varnish

- Electric sander
- Sandpaper (240 grit)
- Paint brush
- Cloth
- Flat blade stirrer
- Small roller tray or container
- Safety gear

Step 1 - Prep
Using 240 grit sandpaper, sand back new or pre-coated timber to a smooth surface. Be sure to dust of any dust using a cloth.
Before you start the mixing magic – be sure to stir to your Feast Watson Liming White thoroughly with a flat blade stirrer.
Pour out the desired amount of Liming White into a paint tray, then add the Prooftint starting with less of the colour than you think you need, then incorporating more, up to a maximum of 5% Prooftint.

Step 2 - Application
Begin applying the mix with a brush. Ensure to work in the direction of the woodgrain to achieve an even finish.
Let sit for up to 5 minutes, then remove any excess with a cloth.

Step 3 - Drying
Allow at least an hour to dry before repeating the application process.

Step 4 - Varnish
Wait up to 12 hours before applying the Clear Varnish.
Thoroughly stir the Feast Watson Clear Vanish with a flat blade stirrer.
Using a brush, begin to apply the Clear Vanish.

And just like that you have a beautiful custom finish to your timber. Prooftint can be used with a number of Feast Watson products, so the only limit is your imagination.
