Frédéric Chopin's Waltz No. 19 in A minor, B. 150, Op. Posth., was written for solo piano. Depending on the source, it was written sometime between 1843 and 1849 but was not published until 1860. At that time it was attributed to Charlotte de Rothschild. It was not until 1955 that the composition was correctly attributed to Chopin. This piece shows great sadness, with some phrases that hint at happiness and hope. With a clear and melancholy melody and a waltz style harmonic pattern which works perfectly on the accordion, I thought it would sound very elegant on the accordion. I hope you enjoy my interpretation.
