The term deva is the Sanskrit term for the angelic kingdom from fairies, nature spirits, water sprites, dryads, angels of all degrees to the great landscape devas, archangels, Seraphim, Cherubim, etc. They are the forces and agents that embody the sum of Nature, the body of manifestation of the great Mother. All forms, including the human form, are constituted out of their substance. The devas are the feminine principle in Nature. They are creative Intelligences. Humans (the kingdom of the Souls that cause the reincarnation of human units) are esoterically masculine, embodying the attributes of Love and Wisdom. There is far more to life than just the physical appearance of things (this, all religions teach one way or another).
