Maryland's 30-day gas tax holiday ends at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. The comptroller's office said $100 million was put back into Marylanders' wallets over the past month during the gas tax holiday. Maryland drivers saved about 36 cents per gallon during the gas tax holiday. The reprieve ends after state lawmakers ended Session 2022 without extending it. According to AAA, Maryland's average regular unleaded gas price on Friday was $3.67 per gallon, which is about 58 cents less than it was a month ago.
