This is just a quick project to see how fun an electric hydrofoil is. I do not recommend to use a brushless motor like I did, because the bearings wear out after 10 hours of intense use. The propeller I used is the same type as my electric stand up paddle board but instead of 94mm diameter a 70mm propeller is better suited for 12S. But definitly not perfect. Also the batteries cant provide the maximum power. At 70% throttle the controller cuts off because of low voltage. The Lipos are 2 years old and took a lot of abuse, so I was surprised about 10 min of runtime. I guess 30% throttle input at about 30Amps is nessesarry for 25km/h flying speed.
