Today I am demonstrating how to tie-dye a Dragons Eye with Geode Scales pattern tapestry using the ice tie dye method. This is a step by step tie-dye tutorial video where I cover the entire process starting with the folding and drawing of the dragons eye outline on to the tapestry. After that I pleat fold and tie up the dragons eye using sinew, and from there I create geodes with the remaining fabric to imitate scales for the dragons skin around the eye. For the next step I apply a few liquid procion dyes for the dragons eye, and then move on to apply the procion dye powders on top of the rest of the tapestry. After that I add ice right on top of the procion dye powder, let it sit for 24 hours, give it a good rinse, and jump right on into the reveal of our new tie-dye Dragons Eye (Geode Scales!) tapestry.
