Kim Blaeser, Anishinaabe, is poet, critic, essayist, and fiction writer who teaches at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. She was raised on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota by parents of Anishinaabe and German descent. She is the poet laureate of Wisconsin. This is a talk given at the conference, Sustainable Wisdom: Integrating Indigenous Knowhow for Global Flourishing, which took place at the University of Notre Dame in 2016.
