The Maldives are famous around the world for their luxury resorts. But what is like to explore one that's abandoned?

We sailed to the island of Dholhiyadhoo where a 5-star resort was under construction when the project went bankrupt. Now the island sits empty. Just us and crumbling buildings that are slowly being reclaimed by nature. It felt quite odd, and a bit sad, to be walking around what should have been a beautiful resort but was now a neglected ruin. But an opportunity like this... you don't pass up!
