Kanazawa Travel Guide | Must See In Kanazawa Japan
The Japanese city of Kanazawa may not ring a bell right away, but it is also known as Kyoto's little brother. Here you will also find temples, zen gardens and geishas, but it is a lot less crowded and well-known among tourists. Kanazawa's history goes back hundreds of years and it used to be one of the richest regions in all of Japan. You can now see this wealth in countless museums and beautiful streets full of historic houses.
Kanazawa is located on the coast and overlooks the Sea of Japan. The city has its own airport with domestic and foreign connections, but if you come from Japan it is recommended to travel by train. From Kanazawa you can travel to destinations such as Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo in less than three hours, and destinations on the other islands can also be reached within a few hours.
If you want to discover Kanazawa yourself, it is recommended to rent a bicycle and cycle along the various sights.
