It's been 20 years, 2 decades, and 7,300 bottles of rum on the wall, since flighty, feathery, free-spirited filibuster Captain Jack Sparrow spread his sea wings across the ocean wide to grab handfuls of pirate gold and pirate "booty" (if you know what I mean) as he searches for his death ship, to take back, that, not surprisingly, has a new captain ("Nosferatu" (1922) reference) and another band of pirates that have taken over his ship after throwing him off it, who refuse to die, and have no problem killing you for your hard earned money. But, enough about Walt Disney Studios. In his quest for rum, women, and a catchy theme song, Jack be nimbles and Jack be quicks his way into the "babe"-dacious, star-crossed destinies of William Turner and Elizabeth Swann as the three cross swords and curses to save the seas and their souls from Captain Barbossa's "skeleton crew" (*rimshot*). The timbers aren't the only things that'll be shivering as we break out the minstrel rock band on desk and crank up the Professor-from-"Gilligan's-Island"-created seashell speakers with the ethereal ambience as we play some sea-worthy and sea-faring tunes in a deep-sea double feature featuring some of the deadest, thieving marauders since Congress. Here is Part I, as The Muppets put forth their musical, electric mayhem as they cast a story to the winds about murder, money, and much, much more. You know? The family-friendly sort of stuff.
