Million Dollar Pound Cake Recipe
2 Cups (452 Grams) Unsalted Butter
3 Cups (600 Grams) Granulated Sugar
1 Tablespoon Vanilla Bean Paste
1 Tablespoon Almond Extract
6 Eggs
4 Cups (500 Grams) Unbleached Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
3/4 Cup ButterMilk
PreHeat Oven to 300 Degrees
1. In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment cream the butter for 10 minutes. Add sugar, and mix for another 10 minutes.
2. Add Vanilla Bean Paste and Almond Extract, mix until combined. Make sure to scrape the sides of your bowl down to ensure butter, sugar and vanilla bean paste and Almond Extract is thoroughly mixed together.
3. Add eggs in one at a time and mix until fully incorporated.
4. In a sifter add Flour and Salt. Sift into a small bowl.
5. Alternate adding your Flour Mixture and ButterMilk. Do not over mix.
6. Bake at 300 for 1 Hour and 40 Minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
7. Allow to cool for 15 minutes in a baking pan before transferring to a cooling rack.
8. Let the cake completely cool before slicing.
