This video aims to bring the poems "A Poison Tree", "Harlem" and "Dreams" to life.
"A Poison Tree" is a short poem by William Blake that explores the destructive power of anger and the importance of communication.
"Harlem" is a short but powerful poem by Langston Hughes that reflects on the experience of African Americans living in Harlem during the 1950s. The poem poses a series of rhetorical questions that examine the consequences of deferring a dream or goal.
"Dreams" is a short and simple poem about the importance of holding onto dreams, written by Langston Hughes.
The poems in this video are narrated by Shane Morris (an award winning voice actor). We took care to edit the audio as perfectly as we can.
We believe that there is wisdom in these historic poems. We are very hesitant in creating video's with different moving backgrounds, because we believe it might contradict the wisdom that is displayed in the text. We hope you appreciate the effort!
