Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel laureate The 14th Dalai Lama has been living in exile in India since the Chinese occupation of Tibet in 1959. The film explores the untold story of the remarkable relationship that the Dalai Lama and Tibetans share with India, which began in the 8th Century AD.
While the future of Tibet remains uncertain; the Tibetan refugees, amidst severe challenges, have managed to preserve their identity and keep their cause alive in exile.The Dalai Lama has been an ardent ambassador of India’s civilisational heritage and its inclusive philosophy. The film explores how India has shaped his extraordinary life, and how he in turn has shaped the discourse of global ethics.
'Until Space Remains' traces The Dalai Lama’s incredible journey from his early years in Tibet to commemorating his 80th year in exile; a rare glimpse of his remarkable evolution as a Bodhisattva.
