French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna visited a hospital in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon on Sunday to meet victims of last week's deadly attacks by Hamas militants, in which 17 French nationals were killed and a further 15 are believed to have been abducted. The French minister expressed "France's solidarity towards Israel" and its shock at the "monstrous terrorist attack" carried out by Hamas militants, says FRANCE 24's Luke Shrago, reporting from Ashkelon.
