African-American genetic (DNA) genealogical research is as unique and challenging as African-American genealogy research. Just as genealogy research requires a different search strategy before 1870 so does genetic genealogical research. This presentation will provide a basic explanation of genetic genealogical research and the unique approach African-Americans must utilize to answer their genetic genealogy questions. For beginners.
This program is presented by Franklin Carter Smith, Senior Library Service Specialist at the Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research – Houston Public Library.
