I have a new and great tutorial series that I’m happy to do with you called, “Creating an Art Journal That Lays Flat”.

This is the intro episode: “Making the Book”. We begin with simple supplies:
- Ten - 9” x 12” watercolor paper folded in half
- Two thin & strong cardstock the size of the folded watercolor sheet
- Two - 7” x 10” scrapbook paper
- Two – 9” x 12” scrapbook paper for the inside cover - folded in half
- One 2” x 6” strip of cotton fabric
- Tacky glue or Fabric Tac

This series was inspired by Mike Deakin’s tutorial “DIY Lay Flat Fabric Spine Mini Journal”, but I wanted to take it one step further by not just making the book, but decorating the cover and all the pages with you.
