Hiking in Norway to Romstalseggen I have dreamed about this route for a long time, it is one of the most beautiful routes in this region for me, and maybe even in all of Norway. Romsdalseggen, or a walk on the ridge of clouds, valleys and vertical walls.
Romsdalseggen is a trail located in the Romsdalsfjellene mountains in the Rauma region in Møre og Romsdal. The trail mainly stretches between the two valleys, Romsdalen and the smaller, less known, Erstaddalen. From the trail you can see the highest vertical cliff in Europe, Trollveggen, or the Troll Wall. There is also a view of the peaks - specific Romsdalshornet and Vengetindene.
It is said that Romsdalseggen - Ridge of the Roms Valley - is located in one of the most beautiful regions in the country, just a moment from Åndalsnes, which is considered the capital of mountaineering. The trail is about 10 kilometers long, about 970 meters high, and the highest point is located at 1329 meters above sea level.
The route in many places is quite strongly exposed, it has many fairly steep fragments, on which we have to help ourselves with hands or a chain on the trail. However, climbing equipment is not needed. It is worth being mentally adjusted that there are quite a few exposures and steep slopes.
