For school we had to do a project based on various political ideologies. There were a number of sections to this, and one of them was to create a video by ourselves or a group of people. Well, neither me or Hannah had a partner so we teamed up to make an ad.

This was a learning process for me as I tried to put this together. One of my biggest complaints about Premiere Pro when I switched back from Sony Vegas was that the title feature was horrible. While it is way more feature packed than Vegas' version, it lacks one thing. Ease of use. The titles don't render easily. They bog down my footage. Animation of text is hard. They all make it harder to use. Since this involves a lot of text, I had to think of something else. My solution was to use Photoshop; a simple tool that is extremely good at making text. I basically made a 1920 x 1080 file and wrote the first bit of text. Then I saved that as a PSD. I wrote the second piece, then saved that. And so on, for all 10 screens of text. Then, I imported the PSD files into Premiere Pro, and chose to keep the layers separate. This way, I could separately place and animate each part of the text to show up at different times!
