The body of a young girl was found inside a duffel bag following reports of a missing 3-year-old Thursday, according to authorities.


Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say they got a report of a missing 3-year-old child Thursday night.




Arriving officers contacted the mother, later identified as 29-year-old Aisha Thomas, who told officers she had been walking to the store with four kids, and the 3-year-old wandered off while she was talking with someone else.

While officers were searching the immediate area, other officers went to check the apartment where the child lived.
