We broke both out canoe seats on our last Machias River trip. The rear one managed to stay together enough to work, but we had to cut the front one out!
They cost $40 to buy, but I was pretty sure that I could build one cheaper.
Most of them are made from Ash, (I believe) but I had some birch kicking around the shop, so I used that.
I had hoped to reuse the webbing, but it turned out to be too much of a hassle to pull the staples, so I ended up buying new webbing. It was worth it! I used this: [ Ссылка ]
Be sure to use galvanized staples that will hold up to the weather. [ Ссылка ]

Tough to find the stainless screws. I finally found these here: [ Ссылка ]
