Got stuck with the rusted and seized wheel bearing assembly? After hours of hammering and beating, it doesn't want to come out. A 0.5 hour job turns into a 2-3 hour job. It is so common in the 'rust-belt' northeast region.
I made a home-made version of "Hub Shocker" tool to remove the rear wheel bearing unit for my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. It didn't cost much to make one.
* Used Subaru front brake rotor (5 x 100 bolt pattern)
* 2 ft of 2'x2' square tubing
* 5 pcs of M12x1.25 nuts and washers (I didn't want to use the lug nuts)
The square tubing must be welded on the inner friction surface of the brake rotor.
I used this "hub shocker" for the first time and it worked like a champion!
After watching few videos of beating crap out of it on Subaru Legacy, I decided to make one up;
