In addition to a Driver's License/Identification, Social Security Card, Passport, Fingerprints, Background Checks...some jobs require specific work permits or "Work Cards" to work in the State of Nevada.
These can be statewide, or County-Specific. For example, if you want to serve food in Nevada in a Casino, you'll likely need a food safety handling certificate. If the restaurant serves alcohol, you'll need an Alcohol Awareness (TAM) Card. If you handle cash as a server, you'll also need to go to the Metropolitan Police Department and apply for a "Sheriff's Card."
Some Work Cards can only be obtained AFTER you get a job, such as a Security job. You will have to obtain a PILB (Guard Card) first, then your employer will endorse you to further your application process with an Exposed Firearms Certificate with additional fees, applications and wait times.
