Many people use the term, "I'm going to church", or "Where do you go to church" without even given a thought that what they are saying has no foundation in scripture. No institution is "THE Church". Not catholicism, not mormonism, not even Southern Baptist, IFB, Methodist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc. These are are names of an institution, or an unbiblical association with a man ie. Martin Luther, the pope, etc.
The true church needs no building. They themselves are the temple of the living God. (1 Corinthians 3:16–17, 1 Peter 2:5)
They need no professional clergy lording over them. The Holy Spirit is their teacher, guide, and comforter. (1 John 2:27, John 16:13, John 14:26)
They need no worship leader. They worship God in spirit and in truth all of their lives, and NOT JUST in a religious service. (John 4:23)
Jesus warned that MANY people who attend AND lead these institutional systems are still in their sins and going to hell. (Matthew 7: 21-23)
Salvation does not come from being "in church". Salvation comes from being IN CHRIST.
Therefore if any man be IN CHRIST, he is a new creation. The old is passing away and all things are becoming new.
