Some information about the NABU corporation with as little effort as possible 😝. I promised a youtube friend of mine that we'll do a more in-depth video. Well, it's been a promise for 3-4 years, so hopefully, we'll get to it over the holidays.
There has been a lot of misinformation about this computer since it popped up on eBay.
- The computer did not have bi-directional communication over the coax.
- An upgrade (which wasn't available to the public) included an 8k ROM with floppy drive
- The files from the network adapter to the PC were at 111kb/sec
- The COAX network broadcasted at 6MB / sec
- The files were transmitted in a carousel, like a wheel. The programs were split into small 1kb pieces called Paks. The paks were transmitted in a loop. Each pak was part of a segment. The segment was essentially a program. The segments had numbered names, like 00001 (main menu), 00121(Qbert), etc.
