Join me this time as I drive from the neighborhood of El Madania, in the higher parts of Algiers, to Didouche Mourad Street, at the heart of the city center (Central Algiers, downtown). Didouche Mourad is one of Algiers' main boulevards, the street where many important stores, restaurants, bookstores, tea and ice cream parlors are located. This is the first time I'm approaching the very heart of Central Algiers. I've been avoiding the city center because of all the traffic that's been happening there caused by massive protests. Sorry for the stained windshield though. When I felt like traffic to the city center would be fluid that afternoon, I took advantage and I drove as far as I could into Didouche Mourad. The trip wasn't planned before hand. Algiers around Algiers.
