I took all three kids out Ice Fishing with me this weekend. My bud, Jeff Cull, told me there's a pond near where he lives filled with Warmouth and or Green Sunfish. I was calling them Warmouth in the video, but I think they were Green Sunfish after further review. We met Cull and two of his boys out on the ice.
Warmouth are panfish that are similar to Rock Bass, Sunfish, or Bluegill. They have a bigger mouth like a Rock Bass, and are aggressive eaters, like a Sunfish. They have a lot of different names, depending upon where you are located (according to Wikipedia). They're also called Warmouth Sunfish, Warmouth Bass, Molly, Redeye, Goggle-Eye, Red-Eyed Bream, Stump Knocker, and Strawberry Patch.
I caught a few of these Warmouth fish and then filmed my kids and the Culls catching a bunch of them, too. Hope you enjoy (are enjoying, or enjoyed) the video!
