So ... what's this all about, you ask? And who the heck am I? Well, the short explanation is that this is the video side of The Pirate Wanderer and my name is Rick Higgins. And I tell stories. I also have a rather opinionated view of a world where people should care about each other and our collective home. This channel, along with others, is how I share all of that. To hopefully inform, perhaps to incite a giggle, but always to expand both my and your horizons.

Want more? Well, I live in Barcelona Spain (and sometimes Miami and Key Largo) and have an overwhelming desire to share my travel stories and experiences. To bring to light that the world over, we are all pretty much the same. Loving, laughing, struggling, crying, and sometimes even triumphant. That there is no "us and them", just us. And that by maybe bringing the world to the doors of those who do not get to experience life first hand, to enlighten and bring some peace and humanity. Deep, I know. But it's what I do.
