Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis strongly expressed his displeasure to Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai over the attack on a lorry bearing a Maharashtra number plate in the border district of Belgavi today. Bommai has assured strict action against the culprits and that vehicles coming from Maharashtra will be protected.
Pro-Kannada activists hurled stones at the lorry which was travelling from Pune to Bengaluru. The window panes and the front glass of the vehicle were shattered and destroyed in the attack.
