In this video, I show you how to recreate and adapt Roberto Mancini's Italy tactics in FIFA 21.

Roberto Mancini has received lots of plaudits for the way in which his Italy team played during the road to winning the European Championship in 2021.

Entertaining both on and off the ball, Italy would always look to play out from the back; valuing possession at every step and looking to tire out the opposition chasing after both them and the ball. They work the ball through the thirds, which is made easier by having exceptionally talented technicians like Marco Verratti and Manuel Locatelli in midfield - and eventually look to work the ball into the box via cutting inside and balls in behind or cutting the ball back from the by-line.

Defensively, Italy are a team that likes to counter-press whenever they lose the ball. In addition, they will also look to press as a unit whenever the opposition look to be playing themselves into trouble. Their high line is made to look easier to execute due to the exceptionally mentally gifted centre back in Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini.
