Canon has updated two of their intermediate-level APS-C cameras, the EOS 90D and the EOS M6 Mark II. One DSLR. One mirrorless. Interestingly, these two cameras are extremely similar, using the same 32.5-megapixel sensor, the same DIGIC 8 image processor, same Dual Pixel CMOS AF Live View focusing system, as well as 4K 30p video and over 10fps continuous burst shooting. Basically, it comes down to which camera style do you prefer? A DSLR, with a large grip, an optical viewfinder and a traditional phase-detect AF system, or a compact, lightweight mirrorless camera with an EVF and high portability? Canon's letting you choose.
We recently got hands-on with the two cameras at a Canon press event, shooting various motorsport subjects. Check out the video to get a sense of the cameras' designs and features as well as first look at image quality and our initial thoughts on performance.
