Emotional contamination OCD is a disorder that includes obsessions and compulsions related to being mentally or emotionally contaminated. Unlike a fear of contamination relating to germs, emotional contamination is the belief that other people or even one’s own thoughts can contaminate someone and cause bad things to happen. Compulsive rituals are then performed to prevent these results.
