From the NSF C-CAS Interview Series:
Zoomin' with Abby Doyle - The proof is in the pudding
Prof. Doyle is the A. Barton Hepburn Professor of Chemistry at Princeton University. Research in the Doyle group takes place at the interface between the fields of organic synthesis, organometallic catalysis, and physical organic chemistry. Reaction development in the fields of Ni cross coupling, photocatalysis and nucleophilic fluorination leverages mechanistic analysis, high-throughput experimentation and machine learning. Prof. Doyle is a founding member of C-CAS, the NSF Center for Computer-Assisted Synthesis. This interview, conducted by Samantha Grosslight, Ph.D. candidate in the Sigman laboratory at the University of Utah and C-CAS member, discusses the importance of data science for chemistry and in the synthesis of functional molecules.
