I added an anchored box fan below the oil pan to help keep the oil, and to a lesser extent, the cylinder heads cooler. It did seem to make a small difference, and shortened the cooling time between runs.
The run began with a warm up at 1200 rpm per UL Power instructions. During this period, I tested the dual ignition by turning off one side, and then the other, with no change in rpm whatsoever. The engine was slowed to check idle speed, which was about 810 rpm, then back to 1200 before going full throttle at about 2800 rpm. Oil and cylinder head temperatures were allowed to go up near the top end of normal before shutting down.
